	The Abu Dhabi Golf Experience Hi, Sunil here to talk about the Abu Dhabi Golf Experience Golf, the rich man’s game is commonly played in the desert as well. In fact ironically the desert has some of the best golf courses out there. Just ask Tiger Woods and Ernie Els and they will tell you. I think one of them is designing their own course either in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, look into that. . . If you are a golfer you will definitely enjoy golfing in Abu Dhabi. Golfing is such a laid back leisure activity to begin with. Add to that the beautiful golf courses and the greenery around you and the experience is wonderful. Not to mention the sunny weather. The Abu Dhabi Golf Club and the National Course are definitely two of the better golf courses in Abu Dhabi. The Golf Championship Tournament hosted by Abu Dhabi is part of the European Tour. It is a golf tournament that started in 2006 and is played at the Golf Club of Abu Dhabi (formerly known as Abu Dhabi Golf by Sheraton). The Club is a member of the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO) and is the European Tour's effort to continue expanding into Asia, a growing golf market. The price out or purse has been $2M consistently up to 2008 at least. Not sure where this figure will end up reaching. The National Course is a posh destination in Sas Al Nakhl, near the Abu Dhabi International Airport. Its location makes it a great stop over for folks with a bit of a layover at the airport. The plantation and overall greenery does not make it seem like you are in the desert at all. Each hole has beautiful scenery around, whether it is the beautiful club house or the lake to your right as you tee off on hole 1. Both golfing destinations offer a full clubhouse experience where you can wine and dine, with a full service bar overlooking the courses. The facilities are also equipped with conference rooms, making them a popular destination for business meetings mixed with a few rounds of golf. It does not matter which one of the two you pick, both venues promise that you will definitely enjoy golfing in Abu Dhabi.
