The Canadian Embassy Abu Dhabi
Let's discuss the Canadian Embassy Abu Dhabi in this article and what it can do for Canadian citizens who are abroad in Abu Dhabi.
The Embassy is also there to handle visa services for non-Canadian nationals who wish to visit Canada from the United Arab Emirates.
They can provide visa assistance via their visa office to foreign students who are enrolled or have been accepted for enrollment in Canadian schools as well as those individuals who have been accepted for employment in Canada.
The Visa and Immigration Service of the Canadian Embassy Abu Dhabi assists people living in the UAE as well as Bahrain, Kuwait, Yemen, Qatar, and Oman.
In addition to these services for individuals, the Canadian Embassy is also there to facilitate trade relations between Canadian businesses and United Arab Emirate businesses and vice versa.
It helps companies to establish new business relationships to further promote free trade between the two countries. This is a rather important aspect of the Embassy’s mission in Abu Dhabi.
As far as citizen services go, the Canadian Embassy Abu Dhabi is there to provide Canadian citizens with help concerning visa and passport issues such as help getting a replacement passport if yours is lost or stolen or providing you with travel documents in lieu of a passport for emergency travel in the event that your passport is lost during a natural disaster or terrorist attack or some other such calamity.
In the event of a natural disaster or terrorist attack or other calamity, the Embassy will do everything it can to provide Canadian nationals and Canadian citizen assistance to help them escape to safety and to provide them with the essentials for survival such as food, clothing, and shelter.
Before travelling to Abu Dhabi, you should make sure that you have the phone number and address of the Embassy where you will easily be able to find and access it.
It is also a good idea to inform the Embassy of your arrival in the country, too.
You can find the Embassy at the west tower of the Trade Center Towers which is a part of the Abu Dhabi Mall complex.
The Embassy occupies the 9th and 10th floors and its office hours are Sunday to Thursday from 8am to 12pm and 1pm to 3pm.
These services include registering a birth or a death while abroad, assistance with voting when you are in Abu Dhabi, authentication of certain documents as provided by Canadian law, and information and assistance in regards to adoption procedures.
For a complete list of the services available to you and their associated fees, check with the Canadian Embassy website or call the Embassy directly.
