It owns three hotels purchased from the government.

Its main activity is the hotel industry but it also deals with industrial food catering, local tourism and travel services.

What a swell idea if you get to stay in one of their hotels! The Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) is a major company around the city and is listed in the Dubai Financial Market.

It is the largest Islamic bank and has 62 branches around UAE. It has international bank affiliations in Pakistan, a representative office in Turkey and was granted a banking license in Jordan. It is also the first bank to include all Islam principles in its banking services.

Turn on your TV and you may be watching a channel operated by the Abu Dhabi Media Company. This is one of the top growing, multi-platform media companies and is under the stock company of the Emirates Media.

Aside from television channels, it handles FM radio stations, too. It publishes the National paper- Zahrat and the Majid and Khaleej magazines. Its activities include broadcast, publishing, digital media, distribution, printing, film and MTV productions. It has over 2000 employees spread over its operating units. Its international affiliations include Cairo and Washington, DC.
