Diving in Abu Dhabi
Diving in Abu Dhabi is relatively a new sport of choice. You and your family can enjoy an endless amount of underwater fun just yards from the beach of your hotel
Over the past few years, Abu Dhabi has gained a lot of recognition and a reputation as a premier spot for divers of all skill levels from beginners to advanced divers and everywhere in between.
There are any number of dive shops and companies that offer you the chance to have an adventure with some underwater fun.
You can even find dive packages that can include everything from your plane fare, to your hotel accommodations and a great diving adventure, too.
Every skill level of diver will find the waters of Abu Dhabi inviting and irresistible. Worried because you don’t know how to dive yet but you’d still love to try it?
There’s no need for you to worry because there are several companies located in Abu Dhabi who offer licensed scuba classes to get you certified as a diver and into the underwater fun and action.
You’ll find packages available from $150 per person all the way up to $750 per person which would be all inclusive (all equipment and boat rentals included with possible accommodations included, as well).
I bet you’re wondering what you’ll see when diving in Abu Dhabi, right? The waters off the coast of Abu Dhabi are rich with marine life and they offer you a view of the underwater world that can only be experienced best firsthand, up close and personal.
You are likely to see turtles, eels, octopi, snapper, jack fish, and parrotfish. If you’re lucky you may see the occasional stingray, or hammerhead shark or even a reef shark. Visibility is generally 5 to 10 meters so you’ll have a clear view of all of the amazing things that can be seen when scuba diving.
The water temperature averages to 77 degrees F for most of the year but in the hottest part of the summer months (July) it can increase to as high as 93 degrees F. You can dive in a wetsuit or in just a skin suit, which ever you find to be more comfortable.
Diving in Abu Dhabi really should be on your list of things to do while visiting there. You’ll see some of the most amazing scenery from ship wrecks to coral reefs and witness firsthand the awesome beauty of the marine life that is so abundant on the Arabian Gulf coast.
