Television in Dubai is growing by leaps and bounds every day while gaining in popularity with the influx of new entertainment programs and a lot of new family viewing.

Dubai TV is government owned and operated by the United Arab Emirates Department of Information, but still offers a lot of viewing choices for the people of Dubai.

In Dubai you can find your local stations that are available on all televisions but you can also get either satellite or cable television.

In fact, Dubai television stations were the first stations in the region to broadcast its programming through satellite to North America and Europe, and as a pioneer in satellite broadcasting it has really made a name for itself.

Most apartments are wired for certain systems giving you only one choice, whereas some villas are not wired at all, giving you the option of which type of television programming to get.

The programming is varied depending on whether you get satellite or cable television, but both do include news coverage, sports, family shows, and some finance and business shows. It seems that everyday a new television station or new programming is entering the world of Dubai Television.

In particular, family viewing is becoming very popular with the integration of Warner Bros. International making a long term deal with the Dubai Television authorities to bring in movies from around the world.

Set to show their latest released movies as well as some of their most popular movies, Dubai TV shows Warner Bros. movies on free local stations.

Along with this, it also brought much of the best of the United States television shows that are currently in syndication as well as some currently shown.

Most local stations are in Arabic, although there are some English speaking channel which shows a lot of local news, some North American soap operas, as well as UK horse racing and a few movies from time to time.

Most people however have more than their local channels because it seems that no matter where you live you just can’t get that great of transmission. That is why you need to get something like E-Vision or a satellite provider such as Orbit satellite provider.
