Applying for a visa is relatively easy, you just need to fill out the application form and provide the necessary paper work that the Dubai embassy requires. However applying is totally different from being approved for a visa. There are requirement and different criteria that the officials follow before allowing you a visa to enter Dubai.

Now there is a list of countries whose citizens do not need a visa to enter Dubai. The citizens are simply required to provide their member country passport when they enter. If you belong to one of these countries then you don’t need to do engage in any preparation prior to entering Dubai.

This type of visa is only valid for 14 days after which you will need to leave the country (UAE). This visa is not renewable. This type of visa is usually given for business purposes and their relatives where limited stay is assured.

Most people however apply for the more common visa which is the tourist visa where a person can stay for up to 30 days. This also requires sponsorship, but it is easier to get from travel agencies or hotels that you stay in.

This visa is also non-renewable.
