Dubai is a shopper’s paradise – you already knew that?

And it has numerous shopping centers and malls providing never ending and exciting shopping experience to both the locals and the tourists.

In fact, many people from all over the world make their trip to Dubai in order to enjoy the shopping festival held every year.

One of the first malls, which came into existence in Dubai, is the Deira City Centre.

This mall is a part of the Majid Al Futtaim’s chain of malls and is one of the most popular centres.

The Deira City Centre consists of two levels and is filled with colorful shops and various entertainment activities. The Deira City Centre is spread over 1.2 million Sq.ft of space and houses around 300 shops. This popular shopping mall has made huge parking arrangements.

In fact, around six thousand cars can be parked in the parking lot for free. Popular attractions in the Deira City Centre include the various branded stores, a hypermarket Carrefour, a eleven screen Cinestar Cinemas, a family entertainment and leisure complex called the Magic Planet, premium car showrooms like the Toyota and Lexus, etc. The Deira City Centre is open from Saturday to Thursdays between 10 AM and 10 PM and between 2 PM and 10 PM on Fridays.

Another popular and important shopping mall in Dubai is the BurJuman Centre. This mall is located in Khalid Bin Waleed Street, Bur Dubai and is spread over 300 thousand sq.ft.

The BurJuman Centre houses around 190 stores comprising mainly of branded stores from Europe and America. There are a number of quality restaurants, cafes, and even food courts. People on a shopping spree can enjoy the type of food they want, relax, and continue shopping.

The BurJuman Centre stands by its principle of providing its customers with “A Better Class of Shopping”. This mall is open from Saturday to Thursday between 10 AM and 10 PM and on Fridays between 4 PM and 10 PM.

The name Mercato Mall has its origins from the Italian word for ‘market’. This mall is unique in its architecture and is one of the famous shopping centers in Dubai. It is built in the renaissance architectural style with French, Italian and Spanish inputs.

The shopping experience here is entertaining and interesting and this mall is frequented by the tourists and residents who give more stress on quality. Situated on the popular Jumeirah beach road in Dubai, this mall also features the 12 screen Century Cinemas.

The Wafi City mall is a very elegant shopping mall in Dubai and is a part of the Wafi city complex. The special feature of this mall is its atrium roofs which is shaped like a pyramid.

This mall houses 200 popular stores including sixty branded outlets, a number of restaurants providing a variety of food and car parking facilities in two floors apart from an entertainment centre for families, a 3D theatre, Encounter Zone, etc.

Apart from these popular malls, there are a few other shopping centers in Dubai, which are popular. These include the Alk Ghurair City, the Lamcy Plaza, the Al Mulla Plaza, the Al Mamzar shopping centre, the Bin Sougat Centre, the Oasis centre, the Twin Towers and many others...
