Golf, the rich man’s game is commonly played in the desert as well. In fact ironically the desert has some of the best golf courses out there. Just ask Tiger Woods and Ernie Els and they will tell you. I think one of them is designing their own course either in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, look into that. . .

If you are a golfer you will definitely enjoy golfing in Abu Dhabi.

Golfing is such a laid back leisure activity to begin with.

Add to that the beautiful golf courses and the greenery around you and the experience is wonderful.

Not to mention the sunny weather. The Abu Dhabi Golf Club and the National Course are definitely two of the better golf courses in Abu Dhabi.

The Golf Championship Tournament hosted by Abu Dhabi is part of the European Tour.

It is a golf tournament that started in 2006 and is played at the Golf Club of Abu Dhabi (formerly known as Abu Dhabi Golf by Sheraton).

The Club is a member of the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO) and is the European Tour's effort to continue expanding into Asia, a growing golf market.

The price out or purse has been $2M consistently up to 2008 at least. Not sure where this figure will end up reaching.
