It may seem difficult, but it is actually pretty easy to find a cheap stay in Dubai.

See because Dubai is the capital of the biggest and best hotels in the world, even the small fish have to offer superior service to stay alive.

The standards are just so much higher compared to the rest of the world.

I remember seeing a Holiday Inn that is better than a full service Marriott here in the US.

It was definitely very interesting to observe this. The smaller hotels have to match the standards of the big boys if they want to compete.

The are numerous cheap Dubai hotels even with all the expensive hotels being built literally everyday.

With a range of accommodations to suit any budget, the builders in Dubai want to cater to everyone, rather than just the rich.

The best thing about cheap hotels in Dubai is that you are still getting a quality hotel and not a run down shack as you may expect. They provide just as much value as the more expensive hotels but they are definitely less expensive.

The best way to find a cheap hotel in Dubai is to search online. You will find many travel packages to be much less expensive then booking your hotel separately.

Although in some cases if you check the hotels website directly you can find some offers that are not available in packages. These are last minute deals however.

Some of the best cheap Dubai hotels can be found in the old city of Deira and Bur Dubai where there are many two and three star hotels to choose from. They all include standard accommodations but they were typically built in the early 90’s.

However, they are not run down in the least and usually offer at least one restaurant if not two and have amenities such as fitness centers and pools. They tend to cater to budget travelers and are usually located in the more developed parts of the city.

You can also find a cheap Dubai hotel on the Jumeirah Beach which you may not think is possible, but it is due to the fact that there is a lot of construction going on which lowers the price of the hotels. Although they are not as plentiful as the city center you may be able to find good deals, you just have to really look around.

One of the premiere cheap hotels in Dubai is the New Peninsula Hotel. Located in the heart of the city it is nearby to shopping, banks, restaurants and plenty of tourist attractions. They have extras that make it quite a good value for the money such as complimentary airport transportation, live entertainment at the restaurant and currency exchange.

You can take a step up in accommodations but still enjoy a cheap Dubai hotel by staying at the Ascot Hotel. It is considered the best of the cheap hotels in Dubai and is close to almost everything you need. With room service, valet parking and gym you still get luxuries you want for a lot less money.

Lastly, a great way to find a cheap stay in Dubai is to stay in one of the many apartments in the city. Though not quite as popular as hotels they are certainly available to provide a savings to the budget traveler.

Surprisingly luxurious, you will find many apartment hotels tend to be just what you are looking for, such as the Golden Sands Hotel Apartment which offers up to three bedroom hotel rooms for half the cost of a beach hotel. I stayed at one of these, the Grand Midwest, when I went to Dubai in 2007 to attend my friend’s wedding.

You will be quite amazed at how wonderful a cheap hotel in Dubai is compared to the rest of the world. Even the most budget friendly hotels offer much more than your typical three star hotels in the rest of the world.

So, before you spend the high priced money that you may at a resort, it may be to your benefit to check out a cheap Dubai hotel and save some of your money for shopping and entertainment. Just another option ;)
