Skiing in Dubai - A One of a Kind Entertainment in Dubai
Sunil to talk about skiing in Dubai.
You are from a tropical country and you happen to visit Dubai.
You are baking in the extreme heat and you just have the insane urge to hurl yourself inside the freezer just to keep yourself cool. Worry no more go skiing in Dubai!
Thats right. You can go skiing in a desert.
It is yet another proof of the diversity in things you can do in Dubai.
You dont even have to wait for the holidays.
Just head out to Ski Dubai located in the gigantic Mall of Emirates.
This is one of the unique places of entertainment in Dubai, whether you are with your family or friends. It is another extreme, innovative Dubai structure and is the ultimate place to be if you want to take a break from the hot weather and just enjoy playing around in the snow. It is one of the more enjoyable, one of a kind activities that Dubai has to offer that you definitely have to see and try for yourself.
It has an area of 22,000 square meters covered with snow, even in the summer. Designed to mimic the ski slopes in the northern countries, it has five ski trails that differ in height and difficulty level. The longest trail runs at 400 meters. If you are a beginner, you can try skiing in the bunny slope and if you are an experienced skier, try the harder slopes or the indoor black run. You and your family can enjoy skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing, or simply just playing in the snow.
If you are a snowboarding enthusiast, you can go a little more extreme by practicing your stunts in the 90 meter long quarter pipe, which is also called the Freestyle Zone. If you just want a fun, safe, and bonding activity with your family, head over to the attached snow park where you can throw yourselves into the snow, make snow angels, have snowball fights, or just walk around.
You dont have to worry about bringing your own ski clothing or equipment because Ski Dubai has everything you need. You can rent ski parkas, jackets, helmets, socks and boots, and all ski equipment. You can even show up in a tank top, shorts, and sandals, and be fully dressed in snow clothing in no time. A full day pass will cost you and your companion $75 which is pretty cheap considering the fun you are going to have.
You can choose between the Slopes or the Snow Park. For safer and less extreme family activity, the Snow Park is a great place to be since it is well-kept, and enjoyable activities like the bobsled or toboggan will surely keep you and your kids enjoying every minute of it. Just make sure that you enjoy and maximize your time in the Snow Park because once you leave, you cannot get back in unless you pay the entrance fee again. For the Slopes, you pay for two hours and an additional fee is charged every hour in excess. Do not worry if you dont know how to ski because there are ski lessons available.
When you get hungry from all that skiing and snowboarding, get a bite to eat at the St. Moritz Café at the entrance of Ski Dubai. Another option is the Avalanche Café to give you a view of the slope while eating yummy food. If you are unsure what clothes and equipment to use for skiing, head to the retail shop where you can also find the snow school instructors.
When you go skiing in Dubai, always put you and your familys safety first before anything else. Take lessons if you dont know how to ski, and always look out for oncoming skiers to avoid being run over. As with all ski resorts, accidents happen. So take the appropriate cautionary measures, and you are sure to have fun skiing in Dubai.
